Name: Dib Age: 14 (Birthday on Halloween) Year: Fifth House: Ravenclaw Background information: Though a pureblood, Dib had gone through the first ten years of his life completely ignorant of this fact: his father, Professor Membrane, left the wizarding world after his wife died in a magical accident. He had hoped that his children would be Squibs so he would never have to explain the wizarding world to them. After Dib received his letter, however, his father was forced to spill the beans. Dib soon went to Hogwarts, joined by his little sister Gaz (now a fourth year Slytherin) the year after. Dib has always been obsessed with the paranormal, delving into it in his younger years and never quite giving it up. Since the irony of being obsessed with paranormal investigation while essentially being a paranormal entity never really leaves him, Dib reluctantly decided to give up his dream career and instead work in the magical creature care field. His life at Hogwarts is slightly complicated due to the fact that his father is a Potions teacher and his father’s best friend, Marik, teaches the very subject matter on which Dib is focusing his new career. Dib, however, tries to ignore this and have a semblance of a normal life at Hogwarts. He spends a lot of his time studying, trying to be at the top of his class, as well as researching creatures. He also plays Quidditch, as he is the former Seeker/current Keeper of the Ravenclaw team. Relationships Dib became friends with Yamato due to her quirky nature and the fact that she actually gave him the time of day. Dib also looks up to Bob, secretly considering him more of a father figure than his own dad ever is. |
NINE THINGS ABOUT SH!DIB
1. Thinks Quidditch is okay, but really only plays it for his dad's approval.
2. Is highly allergic to cats.
3. He is a pureblood; his father's side were all sorted into Slytherin, while his mother’s side is a mix of the other three, with her being from Hufflepuff.
4. Would like to have an Augurey as a pet when he’s older.
5. Wants to go into the magical creatures care field.
6. Has an owl named Creosote.
7. Has a large scar on his left arm left by a swipe from one of Zim's insane contraptions.
8. Has tried sneaking into the Forbidden Forest 16 times.
9. Has what looks like an ink splotch on his hand, due to him accidentally spilling a special type of ink into an open wound after an accident while setting up Professor Bob's classroom.
